Aquatic plants are found in almost every body of water; however, sometimes an over abundance become weeds as they crowd out desirable plants, provide habitat for insects such as mosquitoes, cause foul odors, lower water front property appeal, effect other aquatic life and interfere with recreational activities.  Rarely are measures taken to eliminate aquatic plants; however, there are some exceptions.
